Microsoft Latest Version of Operating System - Windows 7

Windows 7 is the latest version for Operating System produced by Microsoft. It can be availed in Home Personal computers, Laptops, Tablet PCs and Media center PCs. It was released on 22nd July 2009 for manufacturing but retail availability will be from 22nd October 2009. In the series of windows products this made more expects on PC user to make use of it and feel the real experience of new Operating system. Some of the applications released with earlier Microsoft windows which including Windows Calendar, Mail, Movie Maker and Photo gallery will not be included in the Windows 7.

New Features:

It has new features such as advances in touch, support for virtual hard disk and handwriting recognition, Direct Access Kernel improvements, boot performance etc. New items have been added to the control panel like Clear Type Text Tuner, Display Color Calibration Wizard, Gadgets, Recovery, Troubleshooting, and Workspaces Center, Locations and other Sensors, Credential Manager, Biometric Devices, System Icons.

New Networking API with support of building SOAP- based Web Services in native code. It has a globalization support. Pinging has been implemented at the Taskbar, the windows search makes easier on file search.

Removed Features:

Many of the applications which were released with Windows Vista like Windows Calendar, Mail, Movie Maker and Photo gallery etc are removed in Windows 7. Also other unwanted components, Start Menu User Interface etc.

RIM Releases Developer Tool for Blackberry


As an easier for developer to create web applications for Blackberry smart phones, RIM (Research in Motion) has released Tools in multiple and programming interfaces that are aimed at making easy. The content creators will also be benefited with the Eclipse 3.4 environment as the company released plug-in for Eclipse, Blackberry.

The software developers can also test and debug Blackberry programs used in HTML, CSS, AJAX, Silver light, Ruby on Rails.
Visual Studio developers who feel comfortable with the Microsoft environment make use of it, as the company released similar plug-in for Visual Studio version 1.2. The developers can also have advantage of Rim’s real time push technology as using APIs. The company also interested to bring the Java and web development together for the creation of web applications integrated with core Blackberry smart phone.

As the number of users increases with the mobile applications each day and the company also planning for huge variety of application integrating with mobile and web applications. Palm has been aggressive with its Web OS platform. This also helps the developers to create content for the Pre using standard web development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
